Lady Margo Renee Whitfield

Lady Margo Renee Whitfield is the co-founder and first lady of New Covenant Worship Center and Covenant Community Development Corporation, with her husband Dr. Luther Whitfield. Lady Margo is a lifelong resident of Fort Wayne, a mother of three children: Mycal Whitfield of Indianapolis, Tiffany Sharin of Fort Wayne and Renata Whitfield of Houston Texas, and a devoted grandmother. Lady Margo attended and graduated from Paul Harding High School and then attended Indiana University Purdue University Fort Wayne. After completing her education,  Lady Margo worked a variety of jobs. It was through these various jobs that she found her passion, serving the community and its residents. Lady Margo, because of her love and passion for people, established the outreach ministry at New Covenant. Under her leadership, Covenant Community Outreach, whose mission is to provide meals and clothing to those needy families within our city, has grown from meager beginnings to a thriving ministry.

Through her partnerships with the Salvation Army and other nonprofits, she has served hundreds of families within our community. Covenant Community Garden was created under Lady Margo's leadership and a team of church members to bring healthy produce to the community so residents can develop the skills of providing for themselves and their families to live long, strong, and healthy lives. Lady Margo genuinely enjoys spending time with her family and friends, along with traveling and shopping at local thrift stores. Her biggest passions are helping and loving on God's people and serving with her husband in ministry. Together, they enjoy helping the Kingdom of God advance and transforming a community for His glory.
